Sports and therapeutic massage

Therapeutic messages are both relaxing and good for your body. Not only do they offer many health benefits, but also relieve stress and anxiety that may be building up and affecting your body. One of the reasons that massages have become so popular is that they lower the pain or discomfort that you may be feeling without medication or surgical treatments. This happens by, for example, increasing your circulation, relaxing your muscles and lowering your blood pressure.

 

Massages apply pressure to soft tissue in your body. This could be one’s muscles, joints, tendons and/or ligaments. They help improve the circulation of blood in your muscles and release toxins stored in your body. Many different techniques are used to enable all of these benefits; many of them to aid individual problems areas of your body

The massage therapists at Injury Rehab will design a program that will work well for your body; to work specifically on the areas that you need help with. On your first visit, your therapist and you will sit down and tailor the massage that is right for you.

 

For physiotherapy and massage treatments you will need to be assessed in a state of undress, so we recommend that you wear appropriate underwear for your own comfort.
